The first edition of Riyadh Travel 2009 which will start this year, simultaneously with the summer tourist season, to provide for the workers in all sectors of travel and tourism the information they need and the promotional opportunities they seek to develop the travel and tourism sector and to support workers’ efforts in order to build a better future for tourism.
The exhibition will be held from the 2nd to the 4th June 2009.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm and from 04:00 pm to 10:00 pm, on Wednesday and Thursday 3 and 4 June 2009.
The exhibition program will include a guide for the touristic areas in the KSA, and also the touristic services and activities provided by the government and business agencies working in this area.
The exhibition will work on attracting broad international participation that allows the availability of many services and infrastructures for this sector of the travel agencies, airlines, investors, and providers of support services.
The events associated with the exhibition will include a number of seminars and activities through which the challenges facing the tourism sector in the KSA will be discussed, including:
- Opportunities and growth prospects of the tourism sector in KSA
- Laws and regulations in the tourism sector (licensing and governance)
- Tourism companies in KSA
- Opportunities and challenges
- Obstacles in the Saudi tourism market
- The capacity of the national firms to face the challenge
- The technical and infrastructure needed to serve the tourism sector in KSA
- The human resources (training and rehabilitation opportunities)
- The investments of tourism companies
The exhibition will be announced through a number of media events and advertising campaigns that will include advertisements across the roads publicity , newspapers, radio station, satellite channels, and press conferences in order to allow to the participants a greater degree of popularity and propagation.
