On Sateraday I went to Carrefour Hypermarket to pick up some grocery, when I was done thought I’d go to the techie side of Carrefour and check out their latest releases. You won’t guess what I found! A verizon Blackberry Tour 9630. Verizon is an American telecom company based in NY, and as far as I know they do not offer services in the Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. The salesman claims the phone is under Axiom 1 Year warrenty, functions in Arabic and works well with STC or Mobily sim cards. I doubt all his claims are accurate, but it was exciting to find.
This blackberry was prices at 3,349 S.R. under axiom warranty. For some reason, Hypermarkets offer low prices, high profile phones which seems fishy to me. It’s a rule I have to only buy a product from a specialized store. I only guy electronics from electronic stores, only buy books from book stores and so on…
Most specialized store are official distributors or sponsored of a product in the Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. Buying your products from an official distributor is a safe bet. They are legally bound by the brand they have signed with, offering unique services unofficial vendors can’t offer like repair, inquiry and other products that would support your needs.
