Gary Hamel Managment 2.0 Seminar will focus on the ideas of recession and struggling businesses are nothing new. Many industries, including those who are capital intensive go through cyclical recessions regularly. The big difference between those occasions and the current economic climate is that this problem is now global and no business is safe, whatever the industry. Due to centralised systems and a complex network of interlinked business relationships – every organisation is being effected in one way or another.

Dr. Gary P. Hamel is an American management expert. He is a founder of Strategos, an international management consulting firm based in Chicago. He is recognized as the ‘World’s Most Influential Business Thinker’ according to a recent ranking by the Wall Street Journal and has been named as ‘The World’s Leading Expert on Business Strategy’ by Fortune Magazine. For the last three years, he has also led the annual ranking in Executive Excellence Magazine’s most sought after speaker.

Gary has authored numerous best selling books, most recently the Amazon.com best business book of the year The Future of Management. Gary is the most reprinted author in the history of Harvard Business Review and in addition to his educational speaking, is a frequent consultant for some of the world’s largest organisations including P&G, Nokia, GE, Microsoft and Shell.

In his most recent venture, Gary is leading an effort to build the first “Management Lab” in the world which will bring together scholars and progressive businesses on a pioneering platform to co-create ‘tomorrow’s best practices’ today. The aim of the project is to radically accelerate the evolution of management, knowledge and practices.
